The location of this hotel made exploring the city super convenient. Just steps away from the main attractions, I enjoyed the charming old colonial building with its unique tiles and craftsmanship. The air conditioning worked perfectly, a must in the heat of Merida. However, noise was a significant issue. My room faced a busy crossroads, which meant constant traffic sounds and even loud music at night from a nearby venue. I had requested a quiet room, but that didn’t happen. Also, the cleaning staff started their work too early, making it tough to sleep in the mornings. The room itself needed better soundproofing and a thorough cleaning upon arrival. It had a bit of dust that could've been taken care of before check-in. Still, the overall vibe and age of the hotel were delightful, and with some improvements, this place could offer an even better experience.

Noisy environment.
